Frank Lloyd Wright Jr. designed the John Sowden House, located in Los Angeles, CA, in 1926. Almost a century later, sections of the cast stone had deteriorated, and needed to be replaced. To do this, we created molds based on the complete units. Damaged units were broken down and recycled to create new cast blocks, for installation into their original locations. To recreate the block pattern, we sculpted sections by hand, using recycled and matching material.
